Title WalkIn Clinic

Need to see someone today?  Pee Dee Orthopaedic Associates is now offering a walk-in service for acute orthopaedic injuries.  You can come in to be seen without an appointment! We have a Primary Care Sports Medicine doctor and a Physician Assistant with the ability to treat your orthopaedic injuries focusing on the non-surgical and conservative methods of care.   They will devise a strategic recovery plan with emphasis on casting, bracing, exercises, and/or injections. Treatment of musculoskeletal injuries requires a specialist’s care and PDOA is striving to provide the Pee Dee with subspecialized care for each type of orthopaedic need. If your condition is of the chronic nature, we kindly suggest you make an appointment.

Walk-In Clinic vs. Emergency Room
The walk-in clinic at PDOA treats non-emergent injuries such as sports-related injuries, sprains/strains, swollen joints, closed fractures, and acute dislocations. If you have an open fracture, excessive bleeding, head trauma, or spine injuries, you should seek medical attention immediately in the ER.
Our walk-in clinic is just like an urgent care center, but dedicated just for orthopaedic injuries.

Insurance Accepted at PDOA’s Walk-In Clinic
We accept most insurances. If you have any questions regarding your insurance plan, please feel free to call us at 843-662-5233.

What is the co-pay?
We charge the same co-pay as a doctor’s office, which is usually cheaper than an emergency room co-pay. If your plan requires a co-pay, it will be collected at the time of your visit.

Will PDOA notify my Primary Care doctor?
The PDOA providers will complete a clinic note documenting the care and treatment you received at your visit.

Does the Walk-In clinic treat adults and children?
Yes. Whether you slipped and fell, or your child was hurt at soccer practice, we have the ability to treat orthopaedic injuries for all ages.

Who do I follow up with after my visit?
If follow up care is needed, our staff will coordinate an appointment for you with one of our orthopaedic specialists prior to you leaving.
